Finally after 2 ear infections, pink eye,
and colds Lilly is our happy baby again.
14 months old

Lilly loves going for bike rides.
We ride with Austin to his preschool.

During Spring break we went to the zoo with
the Laffertys.

We played mutated turtles for a little bit.

having an ear infection, a rash and
running nose. So when she discovered
the dryer and was very pleased with
herself, I had to get a picture. I have missed
her smile.

I asked Mark what he wanted me
to write about Jake and John Carter's
hunt. "Jake lived up to his name,Gut Shot,
when he put this buck down".

September always brings soccer

Austin's first year of soccer.
He isn't a morning person so he wasn't always ready to play.
The parents got to participate alot in this age group.
Mark let me do it most of the time. All in all we enjoyed it.

This is what happens when your chasing a balloon
and a wall gets in your way. Ouch! A day later he
bumped them again. We're hoping he doesn't
loose them too early.

We went to Winslow for Grandpa and Grandma Hardy's
Farewell. They are heading to New York at the end of Oct. for 18 months.

7 months old

She has her two bottom teeth

My sister Jenny and her husband were finally able to adopt a sweet little baby girl, Hailey Nicole born Aug. 30, 2010. 7lbs. 1oz. 20 in. They brought her home the next day. Exactly six years after they lost their still-born baby boy.

So many things came together, making it impossible to not recognize our Heavenly Father's hand in all of this. He loves us and answers our prayers. We are all so thankful to have her in our family.

May was an eventful month. We were excited to get to go to cami's baptism. She even asked me to be one of the speakers.

2 days later, Lilly and I were off to my cousin Crystal's wedding in San Diego

We drove with my mom, and 3 sisters.
They were doing construction on the temple because of rain damage

I was worried Lilly would have a hard time with all the travel, but she did great :)

We also went to cousin J.D's wedding in Snowflake at the end of the month, but I think those pictures were erased. Along with Abby and her 4th grade teacher Mrs. Castillo and Austin's pre-school graduation where he recited Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater...perfectly!

Abby played volleyball at the YMCA. She did really well for her first time. Austin and Lilly were great fans! Mark made it to most games. He had to scout out turkey for cousin Lloyds up coming hunt.

contractions for a couple of days

sat. morning around 5:30 am, the contractions were really strong

Mark thought maybe he could go hunting.....Sorry!

get to hospital about 8 am

10:40 am, the nurse finally check, dilated to 8 cm, but couldn't find a head

ultra sound-- baby is sideways!

C-Section

baby hard to get a hold of, doctor has to cut uterus

once she is here all is well, they did keep a watch on her because of low blood sugar
her first couple of hours, only Mark got to hold her and give her first bottle

We did have to stay a couple days longer because I got an infection around the incision

Go Dolphins!

This is Abby's 5th season playing soccer.

We enjoy watching her play.

Abby's best friend, Shannan plays also.

Austin wants us to call him tiger, so of course this is what he was for Halloween.

We bought the purple hair spray for Abby. Austin didn't want to miss out in the fun.

School started the first week in Aug. Abby's in 4th grade at Butterfield. Austin started pre-school at "Ms Dana's".

Mark turns 34!
It worked out that his deer from the previous hunting season was ready to be picked up on his birthday. That's 3 deer we now have in our living room.

Summer Highlights

The first weekend in June was the Merrill Girls get together.

My mom and her sisters and their daughters met in Las Vegas at Aunt Carol's house.

It was a fast trip, but so fun to see everyone who could make it. Aunt Carol spoiled us with good cooking and a comfortable place to stay. We visited with each other and went and saw some Vegas sites.

Abby's Huge tonsils!

This will be the last of all the snoring.

Abby was such a great patient, and I thought she was soo cute.

She asked the Doctor if she could keep her tonsils. He said she could only see them. whew.

The whole procedure took a bout 2 hours. She went home and was on pain medication for a couple of days, then Tylenol worked after that. It took a good 7 days for her to get back to her

old self. I don't think we'll ever forget that stinky breath!

On the 4th of July we were at the Lake. Yeah. I love it!

Mark doesn't love the lake like I do, and I don't love hunting like he does.

Daniel had some fireworks and sparklers, so we had our own private show.

July 18th

Happy 3rd Birthday!

I love this little boy to pieces. He is such a happy kid. I'm amazed at all he things

he can do. Smart too, he seems to catch on to things pretty quickly. (except potty-training)

It's always fun to get together and see everyone. This year was great, for a couple of hours we were all there. I love being part of this family and enjoy spending time with them.

May has flown by. Abby finished 3rd grade with Mrs. Youngquist.

She earned a perfect report card and tested into the G.E.M. program for next year.

We are so proud of her!

I also got to go with her class on a field trip to Oracle state Park.

It was hot, but fun.

Poor Abby! A couple of days after school was out, decided to go on a lizard hunt.

The lizard ran under a big brick, she was so close to getting it, until that brick landed on her toe. Ouch!

Austin loved his swimming lessons at the YMCA.

He did a great job. "Very confident!" was one of the comments by his teacher.

Jumping in was his favorite.

The last day his class got to go down the big slide!

More bike news. No training wheels!

One day he told Mark to take them off. It didn't take long, and now we can all go on a nice bike ride together.

After his first big crash, resulting in a huge goose egg on his forehead. His Dad decided it was best to get a helmet that fit.

We can't leave out Mark's garden. He planted some tomatoes, squash, zucinni and some chili's. It has really grown, and has produced a few vegetables.

I thought this was so cute, but it also scares me. He will try just about anything. The helmet would be good, it just doesn't fit. Most of the time it falls over his eyes.

We had a surprise retirement party for Grandpa Hardy. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40+ years. Poor Grandma had a time trying to keep him out all day so we could set up. It was fun to see everyone and hear all the stories from the railroaders.

Every year we have our anual "Spring Fling" at Grandma Hardy's.

We got to bring Kaylee home with us for a week . It worked out that she had spring break the same as Abby. I hope she had a good time, toward the end of the week Abby felt pretty sick. Austin didn't want her to leave. She is such a sweet girl and I'm glad for the time we could spend together!

Abby Can Snowboard!

In Tucson, we have Rodeo Break, a Thursday and Friday in February off of school. We went to Utah, Brighton Ski Resort to learn to snowboard! Well, me, Abby and cousin Trent. Everyone else who went already were "professionals". Thursday night we went for it, trying to learn on our own. We did pretty good. Abby can control really good and makes her way zig zagging back and forth. Trent likes to go fast and use his rump for brakes. :)

On Friday Trent and Abby had a real instructor teach them. They improved more, but both think they might want to try skiing also.

Thursday night Mark had borrowed my cousin Aaron's snowboard and kinda had a bad fall knocking himself out. He felt better the next day and decided to rent his own. He did much better except for a small incident with a tree branch. :)I liked snowboarding OK. I just kept thinking I could be staying up with everyone else if I was on skies. It was a fun trip and I loved getting to take Abby. Next year Austin will have to go!

Austin was sick last week, but I thought he was feeling better so we went to Grandma JO's .
I went for a run and came back just in time to see Austin throw up all over Uncle Daniel. Oohh! Durning all this my sister thought to grab the camera, so we can be blessed with this picture forever. Poor Daniel! This week he is feeling back to his old self. He loves to do a few pull-ups.

3rd Grade Play

Abby and Shannan performed in their play/musical. Abby played the part of "Abby", the class airhead. She did a great job remembering all her lines and singing. The Grapevine Connection was about the evolution of communication. The play was supposed to take place in the 80's, which might explain the hair do and leggings. It was so fun to do Abby's bangs just like I used to do mine. What were we thinking?!?!?

Austin can ride his bike all by himself. It took a few different times to get his feet to pedal in a continuous forward motion. Now we can't get him off his bike. Notice the tire mark on his back. His big sister ran him over, not even this kept him off for long.

We started the year off with one of my favorite family traditions, although it usually is during Christmas. We still were able to see the Christmas show, A Small town Christmas. Our Brown/Goodman Group of 45 reserves the front 3 rows. It was so fun to watch my kids enjoy the show. Austin sat and loved every minute of it!
